The “Prodot” is a little rubbery thing with a soft textured raised surface on one side and adhesive on the other, to be directly fastened on top of the shutter button. They come in Red, Black and White.
I got one of each since I got them from Kickstarter during the fund raising campaign.
I put the Black padded “Prodot” on my Canon 7D, and I have to say that it feels really good. There’s no mistaking my shutter button now, my finger feels safe on top of the cushioned little rubbery thing.
It’s one of those products you didn’t know you needed
With Gloves: I even tried it with gloves on and I could absolutely find the button now.
I have two different leather gloves that use as soon as it gets colder outside (one thinner than the other obviously 😉 ) and they both worked a lot better than before. The leather on the glove stuck to the Prodot and didn’t glide off as easily. Especially in the cold it happens that I have to look at the finger to see that it sits on the shutter button, now I can actually feel it.
So to conclude: – I’m really happy with it. Such a simple little thing made my finger happy. 😉
